On the 20th anniversary of Creative Director Vincenzo Castaldo at Pomellato, many were the things to celebrate. And since Milan has always been a source of inspiration for both the House and the designer, it was the star of the new Pomellato High Jewelry collection revealed on the occasion. “Ode to Milan” sheds light on the city’s eclectic history and its intriguing cache of hidden treasures in 33 boldly modern yet timeless creations. Crossing the extra mile – as always – Pomellato has unconventionally chosen to launch the collection in Paris, the capital of haute joaillerie, hoping to put Milanese styles at the heart of the Parisian flair to create dialogues on different visions of high jewelry.

Pomellato thrives on the energy of Milan’s unique style and through these functional yet so elegant designs, it also held a conversation like no other with the city as it took many of its assets into consideration – like its historic architectural masterpieces. Much more than a figurative interpretation of the classic symbols of Milan, the collection “shakes up the codes of traditional high jewelry with contemporary yet elegant designs” as Castaldo expressed.

Divided just like a diamond into different facets, Pomellato gave its collection four facets of the city to reflect a different side of the enigmatic state capital of Lombardy: from the urban drama of skyscrapers to the power of medieval architecture, the creativity of La Scala and the majesty of the Duomo.
