The first and official Egypt Fashion Week (EFW) will finally launch this year! Taking place on 12 May 2023 at the Egyptian Museum followed by two other days at the Museum of Agriculture – the second most important museum specializing in “agriculture” in the world, which will be opening its doors for the first time after five years of renovation for EFW – thus ending on 15 May. When the Egyptian Fashion & Design Council (EFDC) made this announcement, the EFW’s title was also revealed: “Past, Present & Future.” Not only will this event hold different runway shows, but also exhibitions of Egyptian fashion, accessories and jewelry designers showcasing local and international fashion schools like The Azza Fahmy Design Studio, Fashion & Design Center, Cairo Design District, FAD Dubai, and Creative Space Beirut. That’s not all, as activations will extend to include panel talks by local, regional and international fashion industry leaders in the fields of design, education, craftsmanship, production, retail, sustainability, women empowerment and finance.
With different ministries and important figures on board, Egypt's rich heritage and civilization will be celebrated like never before as a breakthrough is noticeably happening in the fashion world.
