In collaboration with filmmaker Ladj Ly and students from the Kourtrajmé school – a French association and collective of artists working in the audio-visual field – in Montfermeil and Dakar, Virginie Viard decided to produce a documentary series about the CHANEL 2022/23 Métiers d'art show. The filming took place between the CHANEL Creation studio on Rue Cambon in Paris, Le 19M located between Paris and Aubervilliers, and Dakar, which resulted in a series of 4 videos.

The reveal of the first episode will be on Thursday 8 December 2022 at 1 pm Dakar time and 2 pm Paris time, on chanel.com, and it will reveal the final preparations for the collection in the CHANEL ateliers and the Creation studio, interspersed with images of Dakar where choreographer Dimitri Chamblas and the dancers from L’École des Sables rehearse under the watchful eye of Virginie Viard.
