Honoring a decade of commitment to cinema, the house of Jaeger-LeCoultre opens a special photographic exhibition on Lido Island, in Venice, entitled “Behind the Scenes”. Held during the Venice International Film Festival, the exhibition marks the JLC’s affinity for the 7th art that requires the same creativity as watchmaking.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to discover the filmmaking process from various artists such as Takeshi Kitano, Abbas Kiarostami, Agnès Varda, Sylvester Stallone, Al Paccino, Spike Lee and James Franco. For their inspiring contribution in helping maintain the art of filmmaking, they were awarded with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award that was created by JLC in partnership with the Venice International Film Festival.

“Haute Horlogerie and cinema share common values: both create dreams and a sense of wonder through aesthetic and technical mastery. Jaeger-LeCoultre draws upon the talent of its many artisans to create exceptional watch objects, just as it takes talented writers, directors, actors and technicians to produce a work of filmmaking art. It is all about two worlds infused with creative ingenuity,” said Daniel Riedo, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, explaining the house’s continuous support for unique artistic visions.

The exhibition will be held from September 2nd to September 12th.
