Being the largest ever devoted to Valentino and the first in the Middle East, the “Forever Valentino” exhibition displays the Maison’s creative achievements and takes visitors on a journey through its history. Besides the scenography that evokes the eternal city in a tribute to the fashion house’s homeland, this presentation gains an even more special meaning as it coincides with Valentino Garavani’s 90th birthday and the unveiling of Valentino’s “The Beginning” Haute Couture collection in the heart of Rome.
Featured are more than 200 Valentino Haute Couture pieces and prêt-a-porter outfits presented on mannequins by La Rosa and accompanied by accessories and fashion objects amidst an immersive setting. Curated by Artistic Director of the New Museum New York Massimiliano Gioni, fashion critic and author Alexander Fury and Valentino’s Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, the exhibition not only showcases ensembles designed for the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Zendaya, but also looks from the private collection of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, a long-standing client of the house.
