Valentino’s Spring-Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection is all about pureness. It’s about the essential, and intentionally removing what exceeds out of personal choices in order to reveal a depth of identity. Through this direction that Pierpaolo Piccioli took, the creations translated the language of Couture into ready-to-wear.

The creative director expressed the Valentino woman’s persona through cuts and transparencies, while the multitude of layers has become one. Bustiers morphed into undershirts, and gowns into sweatshirts – and it’s all for the purpose of unboxing an image to unbox an idea and getting rid of the structure to see what lies on the inside. That’s #UnboxingValentino!
