We were lucky to get invited to Bulgari Resort Bali as it was an experience of a lifetime. Located 150 m above the Indian Ocean with a breathtaking 59-villa and 5-mansion property in Bali, the resort is indeed one of the world's most exclusive and exotic destinations. It redefines elegance through each of its elements that were all carefully chosen, blending between the traditional Balinese style and the dramatic contemporary Italian design. We’re talking about hand-cut volcanic stones, rich exotic woods, refined fabrics, natural lava and a lot more.

However, not only did we get to enjoy the resort, but also learn a lot about the island and its treasures. The resort’s overall design incorporates the culture and natural elements of the place in the most fascinating of ways, especially on the far southwestern tip of the island where a 1.5 km long beach is nestled between the cliff and the ocean accessible only through the resort’s inclined elevator. That doesn’t mean we didn’t get to enjoy the sights of the area from the sky as well with the helicopter tour that is made available. Exploring Bali couldn’t end there; visiting the locals, learning their dance, discovering the hidden gems and all that the nature has to offer was a must.

As for one of the things that couldn’t go unnoticed was the “Songket” hand woven fabric – intricately patterned by gold, silver or colorful thread telling stories about nature and Hinduism deity – that is also found throughout Bulgari Resort Bali along with a collection of exquisite Balinese antiques and exotic art pieces.

In the end, no words will ever be enough. A visit is a must as a similar experience bursting with cultural and historical richness should not be missed!
