Max Mara drew a blue horizon with its Spring-Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection, taking inspiration from women who marked history like Eileen Gray and Renée Perle. Archetypal looks serve as the backbone of the House’s collection; we’re talking about backless tanks, voluminous canvas sailor pants, floppy wide-brimmed sun hats, long, languid skirts that hug the hip then slide into pools of godets, and a lot more. However, that’s not all as extravagant organza bows printed with flowers in Perlesque style reflect the brave new femininity expressed by the House.

On a more charming note, each Max Mara marvel is designed not just to be worn, but to be lived in. We’re pampered with a series of total looks in unprocessed, undyed linen that looks like burlap and sometimes completed with raw fringed hems, along with Max Mara’s classic architectonic coats that took the soft allure of sun-bleached beach robes in the most dazzling of ways. That’s what we call creativity at its best!
