Richard Mille Wraps the “RM 47 Tourbillon” Watch with Japanese Wonders

Produced in a limited edition of 75 pieces, the “RM 47 Tourbillon” watch was inspired by the spirituality and values of the bushido code.

Produced in a limited edition of 75 pieces, the “RM 47 Tourbillon” watch was inspired by the spirituality and values of the bushido code. The House of Richard Mille spent 16 hours of engraving and 9 hours of painting for the Samurai’s armor in 3N yellow gold for men to wrap their wrists with a distinguished timepiece. Bringing together art and spirituality, it perfectly pays tribute to the Japanese culture in the most elegant way. All this and more came to life consequently to a friendly conversation between Richard Mille and the twice Formula 1 world champion and brand partner, Fernando Alonso, as they both share this love for Japanese traditional arts and the Samurai principles.

Between the extremely compact caliber specifically designed to make room for the abovementioned stylized Samurai suit of armor, the barrel-shaped case, the case band in 3N yellow gold, the bezel and the case back in black TZP ceramic, this design embodies a determined quest for perfection and respect for tradition.
