To mark its comeback to Watches & Wonders, Van Cleef & Arpels took us to dreamy lands that have always been a destination for the Maison through its charming novelties. Just like every Van Cleef & Arpels’ marvel, the creations presented at this year’s edition brought together watchmaking expertise, jewelry know-how and mastery in the most poetic of ways. Let us take you on short trip to this world, where time is told like poetry.

As extraordinary as this Maison’s journey, the Extraordinary Objects are a watchmaking dream in their own right, and Fontaine aux Oiseaux is one of this year’s offerings that make us dream. This marvel embodies love through a tender scene that comes to life thanks to the automaton that brings the birds together in a strikingly realistic movement, as the water in the basin starts to ripple, a water lily slowly blooms, and a dragonfly rises into the air.

Inspired by the floral clock concept developed by Carl Von Linné in his 1751 book “Philosophia Botanica”, the Lady Arpels Heures Florales Cerisier watch poetically expresses the passage of time through its three-dimensional dial featuring 12 opening and closing corollas every 60 minutes.

As a miniature work of art, the Lady Duo de Lion watch recounts love through animal couples in a 33mm case that display scenes coming to life in striking plays of perspective. The Maison’s love for animal couples is expressed through tender duos hung on each other’s knowing gaze.
