Maison Georges Hobeika invites us through its Fall/Winter 2022-2023 ready-to-wear collection to a party on planet Mars. SpaceX and disco vibes reigned over the show and the collection, which was ever-so-lively with its rich color palette that splashed over both men’s and women’s looks. The youthful looks remind us of the liberating, retro-futuristic styles of the 60’s while they mingle with the hedonistic glamour of Studio 54 in its heyday. Glittering gold swirling around a hand-embroidered white tulle gown, vivid diagonal stripes casting their charm on a long-sleeved dress twinkling with a myriad of tiny stars, couture embroidery shining on intricate beaded lace dresses, whimsical feather sprays erupting on the necklines, anemone petal hues coloring the hems or cuffs of gowns, coats in faux fur not sparing the men’s looks from their allure, and geometric satin sandals and pumps completing the silhouettes, are nothing but a few examples of the dazzling creations that swept us off of our feet under the dancefloor’s galaxy lights.
