It’s with immediate effect that Bottega Veneta announces Matthieu Blazy as its creative director.

After starting his fashion career as Men’s Designer for Raf Simons, the Parisian-born graduate of La Chambre in Brussels joined later on Maison Martin Margiela to design the ‘Artisanal’ line and the Women’s Ready-to-Wear show. In 2014, CELINE gave him the opportunity to become a Senior Designer, before joining Raf Simons again at Calvin Klein from 2016 to 2019. In 2020, he debuted his journey at Bottega Veneta as RTW Design Director to sit now on the House’s creative realms, leaving us eager to discover his vision through the first collection he presents in February 2022.

Commenting on this appointment, Leo Rongone, CEO of Bottega Veneta, declared: “Matthieu Blazy is an extraordinarily talented individual, whom I am proud and excited to entrust with the creative helm of our luxury House. Bottega Veneta has always been equated with signature craftsmanship and distinctive creativity. Matthieu’s appointment will further enhance the modern relevance of our brand and accelerate our growth, while preserving the values that are at the core of Bottega Veneta.”
