For the first time since 1967, Balenciaga presented a Couture collection. Winter 21 is the House’s 50th couture collection and Artistic Director Demna Gvasalia’s first. Mixing between men and women’s contemporary and signature designs, he paid tribute to Balenciaga’s revered Couture history with garments that architecturally transform the body and burst with the House’s art of savoir-faire.
Lace, tulle, polka dots, embroidery, silk and other closely handled details and refined materials, all make the collection the masterpiece that it is. Between the wrap coats, the astonishing dresses, hoodies and a few more remarkable designs, along with the rich in black color palette, Balenciaga definitely stole the lights with its strong comeback to the Couture World.
And last but not least, the show was wrapped up with a charming veiled bridal look inspired from the archives in the most amazing ways, truly standing the test of time!
