Lightness, relaxation and freedom were at the heart of Hermès’ Men Ready-to-Wear collection for Spring-Summer 2022. By opening the door to wider perspectives, it invented and reinvented a wardrobe where different fabrics mingle, and technical innovations find inspiration in the Maison’s legacy. Depth met fantasy, giving the collection a dual spirit that became its essence. Paper was turned into fabric, leather was enlivened with colors and the trompe-l’oeil effect took over overshirts, double-jacket cardigans, coats and parkas.
This hybrid approach paved the way for a renewed elegance driven by energized and flexible shapes, as the collection’s casual style revealed a structured sophistication. Innovation and precision gave patterns that the House is famed for new looks – blurred, perforated and otherwise transformed by modern techniques that speak volumes about Hermès’ know-how.
As for the color palette, it presented a harmonious play on contrasts – it brought together Celadon-green, algae, chocolate and carbon hues with the softness of faded rose, stone-grey and raw-silk, and fused the collection with a one-of-a-kind vitality.
